„I’m a pitman / I go to work / in the deep deep core of the soul“ - A piece about the coal miners in the depths of the human psyche. Inspired by Thomas Mann’s „Dr. Faustus“, where a young woman writes these lines in her poetry album. Later she gets married, in pre-WWII Germany becomes a morphine addict and shoots her lover.
PITMAN is the second single released by MANDY+JUDITH also known as Judith Filimonova from Fijuka and Mandy Mozart from SYN3A.
